Are you ready to start your yoga journey?

The best place to start is with our Beginners’ Yoga courses. A structured course with the same teacher and same group of students–not rushed and with plenty of individual attention—provides for ideal learning. You’ll acquire the basics and also build the confidence and the discipline to continue to grow your practice into the future as well.

Our city yoga centres offer in-person Beginners’ yoga courses in various timings to suit your schedule. The two week residential Yoga Vacation programme at our Ashrams offers a similar learning for those with the time for an immersion in a yogic lifestyle. We also offer online Yoga Foundations courses, consisting of 16 classes over 8 weeks, offering experienced and instruction from India to anywhere in the world.

Once you have completed a Beginners’ Yoga course, you may choose to continue your learning in a more structured environment by continuing with intermediate courses, Yoga Vacation, or drop-in Open Classes, scheduled at different times each day in our city centres, or online.

Looking for weight loss?

By keeping up a regular practice of yoga asanas (postures), proper breathing, and relaxation, we tend to maintain healthier eating habits and a natural body weight without making effort. In fact, no special techniques are needed. We gain the discipline and confidence to make yoga a part of life going forward. Specialised programmes for weight loss are offered at our city centres and Fasting and Detoxification retreats as well as Ayurvedic treatments and Panchakarma are offered at our Ashrams on a regular basis.

How to stay inspired?

Once you’ve learned the basics you can stay inspired in your practice by attending Workshops and Specialised courses. These are offered at all of our locations: city Centres, Ashrams, and Online. Sivananda TV, our on-demand video platform offers courses which can be completed on your own schedule.

And, who knows, you may decide to attend our world-renowned Teachers’ Training Course — for your own personal development, or to make a fresh start in your career!

Learning something new, meeting like-minded people, and getting involved with our international Community of yoga practitioners are great ways to integrate yoga more fully into your life and to make lasting change.
