The Advanced Teachers’ Training Course (ATTC) is an intensive four-week residential programme, designed exclusively for certified Sivananda Yoga Teachers. Conducted in a traditional Ashram setting, it offers profound spiritual knowledge, in-depth Yoga practice, and the guidance of experienced teachers immersed in the yogic lifestyle.

Curriculum
The curriculum is based on the five points of yoga as taught by Swami Vishnudevananda, or the practical application of the traditional four paths of yoga. The Course was designed by Swami Vishnudevananda in 1969 with the vision to develop successful yoga teachers who would help spread peace in the world through yoga. Connected to an ancient teaching lineage (guru parampara), passed down from guru to disciple through the years, the curriculum includes:
Prerequisites
The Advanced Teachers’ Training Course is open to successful graduates of the Sivananda Yoga Teachers’ Training Course. A high degree of self-motivation is required for all aspects of the course. To ensure the success of the programme, participants are required to attend all spiritual activities, satsangs, lectures and asana classes.
Meat, fish, eggs, black tea, coffee, alcohol, tobacco drugs are prohibited during the course as they are counterproductive to the yoga practice. A dress code is followed. It is not possible to cater to personal dietary preferences beyond the yogic-vegetarian meals. Participants who do not comply with the Ashram rules may be dismissed from the course.
