Chai and Chat

The harder the struggle, the more glorious the triumph. Self-realization demands very great struggle. ~Swami Sivananda

Chai & Chat is a FREE opportunity for yoga teachers in Europe, UK, and India to connect with us, and with one another to chat informally about teaching, practice, and to ask any questions you may have or initiate discussion about other topics! We meet monthly with a certain topic in practice or teaching as a jumping-off point and allow the discussion to go wherever it takes us. A great opportunity to stay connected!

Led by Sivananda Online Director, Nirmala, these sessions are intended to benefit new yoga teachers and to help them build confidence their practical, teaching, and business skills—skills ordinarily not covered in the Teachers’ Training Course.

Have a cup of tea ready and a comfortable place to sit. We look forward to connecting with you on Saturdays!

Upcoming sessions:

Saturday, May 2, 12:30 pm IST (UTC +5:30)
UK: 8:00 am (BST) | Europe: 9:00 am (CEST)
Topic: Yoga and Performance Coaching
Guest: Shaun Melwani
Performance Coach, Hong Kong

From chasing a football dream to being sidelined by serious injuries and multiple surgeries, Shaun Melwani had to rebuild his relationship with movement and performance. Now, as a Performance Coach in Hong Kong, he helps athletes and everyday people go from surviving to thriving—whether that’s elite sport or just getting through daily life without pain.

After completing the Sivananda Teachers’ Training Course, he saw a huge shift in his own life, as well as the way he approaches strengthening and conditioning. Join us to hear how setbacks, surgery, and yoga have shaped his Coaching journey.
